Arrivo ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2.1 Location Data

Precise Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) — We collect your exact GPS coordinates to track your journey and detect when you arrive at your destination.
Approximate Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) — Used as a fallback when precise location is unavailable.
Background Location (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION) — We continue tracking your location even when the app is in the background or closed, so we can alert you at arrival without you keeping the app open.

2.2 Device Information

Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK) — We temporarily prevent your device from sleeping to ensure timely arrival alerts.
Boot State (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — We detect when your device restarts to resume any active tracking session automatically.

3. How We Use Your Information

4. Background Location — Special Disclosure

Google Play requires explicit disclosure for background location use.

Arrivo accesses your location in the background to monitor your proximity to your destination. This tracking runs as a foreground service with a persistent notification so you are always aware it is active. Location data is used solely for arrival detection and is not stored on remote servers or shared with third parties for tracking purposes.

5. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect:

Device identifiers
Approximate location
Usage data

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared with:

Google AdMob — for advertising purposes
Google Maps — for resolving map links and displaying routes

7. Data Retention

Location data is processed on-device in real time and is not stored on our servers.
Active tracking sessions are stored locally on your device only.
Session data is cleared when tracking is stopped.

8. Your Rights

You may:

Deny or revoke location permissions at any time via Android Settings
Stop background tracking by stopping the active session in the app
Disable notifications via Android Settings

9. Children's Privacy

Arrivo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
